Container-ship Collides with a Bulk Carrier
On Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at 19:30, local time, HAMBURG BRIDGE under our operation, a Panamanian-flagged 98,747 gross-ton ( 8,000 TEU) container ship, collided with Oriental Sunrise, a Panamanian-flagged bulk carrier in position off Qingdao, China.
Regretfully, the bulk carrier sank and 10 of the total 19 seafarers aboard are missing according to the Shandong Maritime Safety Bureau.
