K MARINE SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. (KMSM*), a ship management company of the Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE) Group, is pleased to announce that it has obtained ISO 45001 certification: Occupational Health and Safety Management System from ClassNK on 19 February 2026.

 

ISO 45001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. It provides a structured framework for organizations to proactively enhance employee safety, reduce workplace risks, prevent work-related injuries and illnesses, and create safer and healthier working environments.

 

The acquisition of ISO 45001 certification reflects KMSM’s ongoing commitment to enhancing and maintaining safe and healthy working environments, both onboard vessels and at its shore-based offices. Through the implementation of this management system, KMSM aims to further strengthen its risk management practices, promote safety awareness, and promote the active participation of employees in occupational health and safety initiatives.

 

KMSM remains firmly committed to the continuous improvement of working conditions for all personnel and to ensuring compliance with international standards and industry best practices. By doing so, the Company will continue to support sustainable and sound business operations while safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of its employees.

 

Going forward, KMSM will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to maintain and further enhance its occupational health and safety management system, thereby contributing to reliable ship management services and long-term corporate sustainability.
