Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Eizo Murakami, hereinafter “"K" Line”) and Kamigumi Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kobe City, Hyogo, President & COO: Yoshihiro Fukai, hereinafter “Kamigumi”) announce today that it was agreed that three domestic harbor transportation subsidiaries of “K” Line will establish a joint holding company that will become the wholly owning parent company of the three subsidiaries through the relevant share transfer, and assuming the approvals and licenses from the relevant authorities are granted and relevant procedures have been made, “K” Line will transfer 49% of the total shares of the holding company to Kamigumi.
- Target Domestic Harbor Transportation Subsidiaries of “K” Line
Daito Corporation, Nitto Total Logistics Ltd., SEAGATE CORPORATION (hereinafter referred to collectively as the "Three Target Companies"), which mainly engages in harbor transportation business in Japan.
- Purpose
We aim to further improve service quality by utilizing resources such as technology, knowledge and management resources that both companies have cultivated in harbor transportation business and domestic logistics business.
