CKYH Alliance to adopt seasonal adjustment program in Asia – North America Trade

CKYH (COSCON, “K” LINE, Yang Ming and Hanjin Shipping) Alliance has announced today that they are adopting a seasonal adjustment program in the Asia – North America trade at the end of November.

With the traditional slack season coming up, the Alliance partners have decided to carry out this program in order to cope with the decreasing demand as well as the rising fuel costs. Specifically, they will be reducing capacity in the trade by 10% in the U.S. West Coast and by 20% in the East Coast services.

CKYH Alliance comments, “With even more rationalized and effective fleet operation, we believe we will be able to provide stable and satisfying service to our valued customers, especially under the current economic climate.”
