| "K" Line (Europe) Limited Starts Ship
Management Service for Third LNG Carrier |

| A "K" Line group company, "K" Line
(Europe) Limited, started ship management service for 145,000 m3 liquefied natural gas
(LNG) carrier S.S. Al Thakhira since its delivery on 19th October 2005 at Koje
Shipyard of Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. Owned by a consortium comprising Kawasaki
Kisen Kaisha, Ltd., Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha, and Qatar
Shipping Company Co., she arrives at Ras Laffan for her first cargo loading today under
the 25-year time charter contract as the third LNG Carrier to transport LNG for Ras Laffan
Liquefied Natural Gas Co. Ltd II (RasGas II). |

| "K" Line group has been expanding its LNG
Transportation business for which demand is increasing dramatically across the globe. In
order to satisfy our customer needs all over the world without compromise, "K"
Line group has accelerated to establish marketing and operating functions of LNG carriers
in our overseas offices, among which S.S. Al Thakhira is the first LNG Carrier managed by
such an overseas office. |

| Taking the first step and going on to enlarge the LNG
Business, "K" Line (Europe) Limited in London has already decided to manage
three LNG Carriers, including S.S. Al Thakhira, and the other two will be engaged in
Norwegian Snohvit Project. We also intend to provide competitive and high-quality LNG ship
management service for future LNG transportation contracts not only through Tokyo
headquarters but also through our overseas offices. In so doing, "K" Line group
companies outside Japan will manage around 10 LNG carriers by 2009. |
