| "K" Line Places Orders for Two 153,200m3 DFDE
Engine LNG Carriers |

| Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K" Line) announced
the execution of shipbuilding contracts with Samsung Heavy Industries Ltd. for two units
of 153,200m3 LNG Carriers (*) scheduled for deliveries in 3rd and 4th quarter of 2008.
These new vessels contain unique features as follows: |

Compact Body : |
| Achieves compact hull size by adopting membrane cargo
containment system, which enables them to call at most of the existing loading and
discharging terminals throughout the world. |

Large Cargo Tank Capacity : |
| Despite the compact hull size, these vessels hold large
cargo tank capacity of 153,200m3, resulting in greater efficiency of LNG transportation. |
| |
DFDE Propulsion : |
| Achieves efficiency and environmental benefit by adopting
Dual Fuel Diesel Electric (DFDE) Engines, instead of traditionally employed Steam
Turbine Engines. DFDE propulsion system is propelled by electric motors utilizing power generated
by Diesel Generators being fueled by boil-off gas
and/or marine diesel oil. |

| These two vessels will bring the LNG Carrier fleet to 38
vessels in total, including 11 managed by the "K" Line Group. "K" Line
currently operates 26 LNG Carriers worldwide with 12 new buildings on order. |
