"K" Line group obtained governmental permission to
establish
new logistics J/V company in Shanghai |

| Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K"
Line) and its group’s logistics companies are very pleased to announce that they have
obtained permission from the government of the People’s Republic of China to establish
and operate the new logistics company, Shanghai "K" Line Z.F. Logistics Co., Ltd
(KLZF). Set to being in operation from December 2003, KLZF will be able to offer
comprehensive logistics services to satisfy clients’ evolving demand for logistics
services in China. By taking advantage of KLZF’s rational cost structure, as well as
efficiency, KLZF is able to offer a wide ranging logistics services that covers Air, Sea
and Land transportation to the customers. |

One of KLZF’s main business activities will be air freight
forwarding whereby KLZF, as an operating base in Shanghai for "K" Line Air Service’s
worldwide network, will be providing tailor-made service of air cargo export and import,
door to door delivery, arrangement of customs clearance, consultation on trade /logistics
in China among others.
For sea freight business, KLZF will be providing freight forwarding service such as
customs brokerage, trucking and warehousing, to supplement current "K"Line
group’s activities in China, which is represented by the Liner Container Service of
"K" Line (China) Ltd.,
Another core business for KLZF will be supply chain management (SCM) and total logistics.
KLZF will represent "K" Line Group company Century Distribution Systems, Inc.,
whose Buyers' Consolidation services have been highly evaluated by many major North
American importers for door-to-door SCM control centered upon Century’s advanced IT
platform, Enterprise-PCL®. KLZF will further grow and expand this first class logistics
solution for suppliers and buyers in China. |

logistics network, sales capabilities, and competitiveness. The establishment of KLZF will
be a major step in the ability to meet customer logistics needs throughout China, and take
advantage of new business opportunities resulting from China’ membership in the WTO. |

partner started off as a welfare service provider and has developed into a holding company
