"K" Line and Yang Ming
enhance Asia Europe/Mediterranean services |

| Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K" LINE), Yang Ming
Marine Transport Corp (Yang Ming) are pleased to announce that they will restructure AES-2
services by adding Port Said calling on West bound, while suspending Malta calling on both
West and East bounds as from end of April 2003. At the same time both companies will newly
commence Asia/Mediterranean service by 6 x 2000teu type of vessels in addition to existing
AMX service that is jointly operated by COSCO Container Lines, "K" LINE and Yang
Ming. |

| Both the Lines are confident that high quality service could
be properly performed to customers on the Asia-Europe/Mediterranean trades by creating the
rationalization plans. |
