Logistics, Commencement of "One-Stop Service" in Indonesia |

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K" LINE)
and its wholly-owned subsidiary, PT."K" Line Indonesia, are pleased to announce
that their newly-established logistics company, PT."K" Line Total Logistics
Indonesia (KTLI), has obtained its forwarding business license from the government of
Indonesia. As from April 1, the new logistics company will commence its services in which
we take great pride as the first full-scale"One-Stop Service" in Indonesia.
One of its main business activities will be SCM / total logistics control throughout the
entire logistics chain from end-to-end. KTLI was recently appointed as the general agent
in Indonesia for Century Distribution Systems, Inc. whose Buyers Consolidation services
have been highly evaluated with excellent reputation by many major buyers in North America
for their advanced IT capability for SCM / total logistics control. KTLI will be
continuously extending this new first-class logistics service more and more to Indonesian
suppliers and buyers. The combined service of their customs brokering, forwarding,
trucking and cargo space booking and seamless arrangements with"K" LINE’s
ocean transportation service can provide far more convenient"One-Stop Service"
for Indonesian customers on both the domestic and international logistics field. In the
ASEAN countries, the inter-area trade volume is expected to increase dynamically thanks to
introduction of AFTA. Under such circumstances, KTLI is in a position to offer customers
highest quality in efficient logistics service, especially for automobile industry
customers considering their"cross supply and assemble operation" within ASEAN
countries. For instance, KTLI is aggressively promoting its action as the first
automobile-carrier-car owner / operator among"K" LINE group companies. KTLI
and"K" LINE group are very proud of the new logistics services be introduced in
Indonesia, and will continue to develop further value-added services that will best meet
the requirements of their valued customers. |
