Post-Panamax Containership Newbuilding Programme |

| Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (hereafter called K LINE),
Tokyo is proud to announce that it has placed an order for one additional 5500-TEU
post-Panamax containership to built by Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. of Japan, and to be
delivered in September 2002. |

| This vessel will be identical with the 12 vessels previously
awarded, and will also have reefer container capacity for 500 FEU and a service speed of
25 knots, a speed that will make them the fastest of any containership of this size being
currently deployed. |

| By this deployment of thirteen new post-Panamax
containerships, K LINE together with Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. will launch
new joint Transpacific and Asia/Europe-Mediterranean services commencing during 1st
quarter 2002 (subject to approval of appropriate authorities), and will provide customers
with the very best transportation available in this industry with the most competitive
transit time and extensive port coverage. |
