MODIFICATION OF JAPAN/PHILIPPINE, STRAITS, INDONESIA AND WEST AUSTRALIA CONTAINER LINER SERVICE
"K" Line has decided to modify its Japan/Philippine, Straits, Indonesia and West Australia container service from 1 loop by 5 vessels into 2 loops (Kanto/S.E.Asia and Kansai/S.E.Asia) and 1 loop (Singapore/Fremantle, Joint service with MAERSK LINE), starting end of September 1999. "K" Line has confidence that this new service will offer enough space to every customer under one of the fastest transit time service between most of Japanese major ports TOKYO/YOKOHAMA/SHIMIZU/YOKKAICHI/NAGOYA/OSAKA/KOBE and Manila/Pasir Gudang/Singapore/Jakarta/Port Kelang on both south bound and north bound.

Details of our new services are as follows :
*	JASECO-1 (Kanto Service) Tokyo(Tue/Wed) - Yokohama(Wed/Wed) - Shimizu(Thu/Thu) - Manila (Mon/Mon) - Jakarta(Fri/Sat) - Singapore(Sun/Mon) - Pasir Gudang(Mon/Mon) - Manila(Thu/Fri) - Tokyo(Tue) 21day turn round, Weekly fixed-day service by 3 modern full container vessels
	*	Vessels:	MV "SINGAPORE BRIDGE" , MV "FREMANTLE BRIDGE" MV "JAVA BRIDGE"

*	JASECO-2 (Kansai Service) Yokkaichi(Thu/Thu) - Nagoya(Thu/Fri) - Osaka(Fri/Sat) - Kobe (Sat/Sat) - Manila(Wed/Thu) - Singapore(Sun/Mon) - Port Kelang(Tue/Tue) - Pasir Gudang(Wed/Wed) - Manila(Sat/Sun) - Yokkaichi(Thu) 21day turn round, Weekly fixed-day service by 3 modern full container vessels
	*	Vessels:	MV "MALAYSIA BRIDGE , MV "ORCHID BRIDGE", MV "CITROWATI"

*	WASCO (Straits/West Australia Service) Singapore(Fri/Fri) - Fremantle(Fri/Sat) - Singapore(Fri) Jakarta(Sun/Sun) Southbound calling is considered to be included. 14day turn round, Weekly fixed-day service by 2 modern full container vessels
