"K" LINE Awarded Ford's Q1 Award for Global Car Transportation Service

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd., (hereafter called "K" LINE) is pleased to announce that its Car Carrier Division has successfully met all of Ford's "Q1" requirements & criteria and after a lengthy Final Review with their assigned quality engineer we achieved Ford's "Q1" certification for our global car transportation service. The ceremony was carried out at the head office of Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan, U.S.A. on November 20, 2002, where we were presented with a Ford "Q1" Flag, signifying our achievement.

"K" LINE has consistently developed our quality management system to provide safe, timely, reliable, and competitive transportation services, which led to our fulfillment to receive Ford's Q1 2002 certification. All staff members are honored by this achievement, and are committed to a sustained effort to achieve our goal, namely, to meet all of our customers' expectations and satisfaction by pursuing quality improvement of service continuously with a spirit of creativity and challenge.

"K" LINE is a pioneer in having put the first large car carrier into the market, and has been operating a large number of PCCs with safety and speed ever since. It's Car Carrier Division has been certified with ISO 9001: 2000 since November 29, 1999.
