"K" Line Group Strengthens Its Efforts on Logistics Business and Supply Chain Management Solutions

"K" Line America, Inc., a subsidiary of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. in the U.S.A. has announced the formation of a new company, "K" Line Total Logistics, LLC (KLTL) to promote "K" Line group companies' logistics capabilities and enhance quality services that the "K" Line Group offers to satisfy customers' demands for supply chain management solutions.

KLTL also serves as a catalyst to realize synergies within the "K" Line group so that the group can make the best use of its current assets and expertise to create additional corporate value.

Members of KLTL who are actively offering logistic services in North America as well as overseas countries are;

  • Century Distribution Systems, Inc. (Consolidation, Forwarding, Supply Chain Management)
  • Universal Warehouse, Co. (Warehousing, Distribution, Transloading)
  • ULS Express, Inc. (Trucking)
  • "K" Line Air Service (U.S.A.) Inc. (Air Forwarding, Custom House Brokerage)

KLTL will utilize IT technologies developed by "K" Line's group companies to assist customers who require comprehensive and integrated solutions. "K" Line management believes that customer needs exist in this market, and these type of solutions can build high customer satisfaction.

KLTL is organized in Virginia and Mr. Iain Aitchison has been named President. Mr. Aitchison will continue to serve as President of Century Distribution Systems, Inc., one of the logistics arms of the "K" Line group.
