"K" LINE Upgrades Deployment in Asia/Pacific Northwest Coast Service and Adds Yantian Call

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd.("K" LINE) is proud to announce that it will upgrade its Asia/Pacific Northwest Coast Service (PNW Service) from 2800teu to 3500teu type vessels with faster speed, as a part of on-going process to offer more competitive service to customers in Trans-Pacific Services.

Upgrading vessels deployed in the service enables "K" LINE and its Partnersto offer to customers not only even better on-time performance but also a direct call at Yantian, China to satisfy strong customer demand in the growing China market.

Ports of call and its rotation are as follows (by 5 x 3500teu) :
Yantian (Wed-Thu) / Hong Kong (Thu-Thu) / Kobe (Sun-Mon) / Nagoya (Tue-Tue) / Tokyo (Wed-Wed) / Tacoma (Thu-Fri) / Vancouver (Sat-Sun) / Portland (Mon-Tue) / Tokyo (Fri-Fri) / Nagoya (Sat-Sat) / Kobe (Sun-Sun) / Yantian(Wed-)

First Vessel of Yantian Call : YM TACOMA V.1E (Eta Yantian 26/June)

"K" LINE will continue on-going cooperation with Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. and slot exchange arrangement with COSCO Container Lines and Hanjin Shipping Co., Ltd., in Trans-Pacific Services.
