Delisting from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the Euronext Brussels

On 29th October 2004, the Board of Directors of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K"LINE) resolved to withdraw the listing of the Company's ordinary shares from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the Euronext Brussels.

The decision to delist the Company's shares from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the Euronext Brussels is based on the low turnover in recent months as well as on the increasing efforts and costs connected with stock exchange listings in several jurisdictions.

The Company's shares will continue to be listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, as well as Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka Stock Exchange and therefore the current shareholders and investors will not be affected adversely.

The request of delisting to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the Euronext Brussels will be submitted by the middle of November and after necessary processing delisting will be completed by around October 2005.
