| "K" LINE Yokohama Container Terminal |
After nearly 40 years, "K" LINE Yokohama Container Terminal shifted from Honmoku Quay A No. 8 Berth to No. 5 and 6 Berths in December 2006. As a result, the quay was extended to 400m from 270m with 1.5-times expansion of total dimension to 133,591 square meters. Gantry cranes were increased from 2 units to 3, whereas electrical plugs for refrigerated containers were vastly increased up to 276.
The terminal is well prepared to cope with both present volume and future expectations for cargo tonnage growth.
