"K" LINE Tokyo Container Terminal has undergone continual realignment since 1996 up to January 2004 in terms of its facilities so that it can successfully cope with the prevailing worldwide trend of larger-sized ships and increasing cargo volumes. As a result of these ongoing changes, Ohi Terminals No. 1 and 2 were enlarged and renovated into total quay length of 660 meters (330m x 2), total dimension of 259,500 square meters and depth of 15m. As a result, these facilities are now ready to accept any of "K" LINE"s large-sized containerships currently being put into service. A modern twin-spreader-system gantry crane is also in service which allows us to keep pace with today"s ever increasing cargo volumes. Since October 2000, an IT-based type of information service has enabled customers to access live terminal gate scenes on our homepage http://www.kline.co.jp/service/terminal/live/ "K" LINE was the first carrier in Japan to introduce this service which now contributes to customers being able to make quicker arrangements for their containers. |
