| New Cmputerized System |
Back in1972, the first generation of computerized terminal system was introduced. Since then, "K" LINE has been trying upgrading its functionality step by step. In 2000, the fourth generation namely Computer Automated Terminal Operation System (CATOS) started to run in "K" LINE's container terminals in Japan. CATOS is a system entirely accessible to Sea-NACCS*. It has also a higher level of connectivity with "K" LINE's in-house fundamental systems. The system makes it possible that a total of practical work-booking, issuance of Bills of Lading, inwarehousing and outwarehousing of cargo, loading from and to a ship and distribution can be integrated into a common and comprehensive system. As a result, our services have been improved greatly in efficient operations with more assured terminal work and more timely supply of information. |
