Service Profile

In response to continuous and significant developments in the logistics field, we have been mobilizing the know-how and experiences of our entire "K"LINE Group so as to be best positioned to provide a multiplicity of total logistics services and logistics solutions.

"K" LINE’s Logistics Business
In March 2006, "K" LINE started its newly-revised interim management plan "K" LINE Vision 2008+ in which "K" LINE ranked logistics business as one of its strategic business fields. All of the group companies will continue to deploy, as a basic principle, the community-based logistics business services as one body, and at the same time, promote the formation of a business structure capable to successfully meet various customer needs.

By the merger of "K" LINE’s two subsidiaries, "K" Line Air Service Ltd. and "K" Logistics Corp., "K" Line Logistics, Ltd. was established on July 1, 2006. Taking advantage of this opportunity, "K" LINE will reinforce its management system to globally deploy comprehensive logistics business services including one-stop services by effectively tying up with "K" LINE Group companies engaged in community-oriented operations.

VMS (Visibility Management System)
VMS is an internet-based supply chain management system developed by "K"LINE that provides complete visibility by event (from Container to SKU level), including ability to manage the entire supply chain with few exceptions. With VMS, customers are able to monitor shipment, booking, container, purchase order and product information; details and status updates from logistics partners; reports on current and historical activities; and notifications about transit delays. VMS can be utilized through an easy-to-use web interface wherein customers can conduct real-time inquiries about status of inventory and shipments, getting immediate answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With VMS, "K"LINE aims to position itself even closer to having the fullest possible understanding of each and every need of our valuable clients.
